<h3>ROCK 'N' ROLL</h3>
<p>Combining glamour, rock ‘n’ roll and a healthy organic lifestyle was never going to be easy for model and rock chick Jo. Having toured the world for 30 years with the Rolling Stones Jo has been there, got the t-shirt and is still wearing it but with an organic twist. </p>
<p>It was a personal choice she made 18 years ago that changed her life on the organic road forever. Jo modelled throughout the 1970’s and was The Sun’s face of 1972. She was also the mascot of HMS Caledonia aged 15 (pictured). Heavily influenced by the fashions of the time Jo went on to style her then husband Ronnie Wood on tour and she also designed for the fashion label No Scruples with her friend Lorraine Kirke.</p>

<h3>JO’S FAMILY</h3>
<p>Jo has 4 children - Jamie, Jesse, Leah and Tyrone, and 6 grandchildren – Charlie, Leo, Kobi, Arthur, Lola and Maggie. Jo has toured the world with her family since 1977 and is infamous for travelling with her own portable cooker so she could make an organic fry up wherever they were travelling in the world! The family have lived in both New York and Los Angeles and are now firmly rooted back in London.</p>

<h3>A PASSION FOR ORGANIC</h3>
<p>Jo’s personal journey began after falling ill in 1989 being mis-diagnosed with Chrones Disease. Jo discovered that a switch to an all-organic diet improved her health dramatically. Finding herself fascinated by the subject she immersed herself in it learning as much as she could. Jo gradually moved towards making everything in her and her family’s life organic (Jo’s eldest son fondly teases her that she is extreme organic!). She has a beautiful organic garden, and everything in the Wood household that can be is organic.</p>
<p>However, Jo still found it hard to find skin care products that were completely organic and yet also luxurious and sophisticated, so she decided to make them herself.</p>
<p>After years spent mixing oils for her own personal use and for family and friends in what Jo now fondly refers to as her ‘home laboratory’, 2005 saw the launch of Jo Wood Organics, a sophisticated and decadent range of organic fragrance, bath and body care products. The years that have followed have seen the Jo Wood Organics brand gain respect within the organics industry, win numerous awards and Jo herself become a well-known advocate for organic living with appearances on television, at award ceremonies and industry events. She has even <a href="/collections/lifestyle/products/naturally-hardback">written a book</a>. She has been on GMTV, Market Kitchen, Britain’s Next Top Model to name a few and she was voted one of Grazia magazine’s Women of the Year 2008.</p>
<p>Jump to 2009 and Jo travelled to Bangladesh to support fair-trade fashion for The People Tree Foundation, opened The Vitality Show, judged the Observer Ethical Awards for the 2nd year running, did the catwalk for Vivienne Westwood, became a columnist for Vogue & Natural Health Magazine and is now dusting down her dancing shoes to make her debut on Strictly Come Dancing, Series 7.</p>

<p>Jo’s inspiration for her Jo Wood Organics range is influenced by her passion for Africa; Jo’s mother is South African, and can trace family ancestors to the Zulu’s. The fragrances have been given Swahili and Xhosa names, Amka, Usiku, Tula and Langa.</p>
<p>The brand's design influences stem from Jo’s eclectic rock n’ roll edge, her love of 1970’s BIBA from her modelling days and the decadent and beautiful Art Nouveau movement. Leah Wood has also modelled for the range too.</p>
